Is there a deliberate plan to destroy DP Rigathi Gachagua’s image politically?

Former Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu has sparked a big debate in Mt Kenya after he alleged existence of a deliberate plan to destroy DP Rigathi Gachagua politically by painting him as a failure

Former Nyeri Town MP has kicked a political storm after he alleged existence of deliberate efforts to paid DP Rigathi Gachagua in bad light.

“It doesn’t look random. Let’s be honest, the man from my home county is neither the worst-dressed politician around; nor is he a political buffoon. But we have cartoons & memes of him as such,” said Ngunjiri.

Pointing out that a political brand can make or break you, says even though Gachagua says a lot of sensible stuff in between his earthy humor and jokes, the media somehow tends to only carry those stories that make us laugh at him.

He noted that it has reached a point where government officers are comfortable responding to him via the media.

“Gradually we will get to a point where his public image will be of a political joker who’s out of his depth as DP,” Wambugu warned.

He said the DP appears to be falling in that trap and that In a couple of months no one will take him or what he says seriously.

The former MP said unless something is done it will completely undermine Gachagua and his office and his role as DP.
