Nairobi City County gubernatorial aspirant Agnes Kagure roots for unity praises Kikuyu elders for prayers.

Prominent Nairobi business woman and city’s gubernatorial candidate Agnes Kagure has praised Kikuyu elders for organising end of year prayers.

The prayers for the country and community were organised by the Kikuyu Council of Elders (KCE) and Kiama Kia Ma in Nakuru County.

They were graced by the Nakuru County governor Lee Kinyanjui, the patron of elders Kinyua Mwangi, KCE chairman Wachira Kiago and Kiama Kia Ma chairman Ndungu Gaithuma, County Patrons among others.

Kagure thanked the elders for demonstrating high levels of unity and cohesion and urged them to ensure the same was cascaded to the ground.

She said it is very important for the people to unite and speak with one voice so that their votes could matter.
Kagure said a divided house would be trampled upon and their many votes would be rendered useless.

While thanking the elders, Kagure said she was humbled to have joined the Kikuyu Community end-year prayer meeting.

“It is my guiding belief that when we commit our plans to the Lord, we are assured of success,” she said.

During the prayers, the elders gave thanks to God for the peace and unity the country has enjoyed after the handshake and His gracious gift of life, and countless blessings to Kenyans.

Kagure said the meeting also deliberated on ways of ensuring our people’s solid support for candidates going for elective positions in metropolitan counties like Nairobi where she is presenting herself as a candidate for governor.

She has pledged to transform service delivery in Nairobi should she be elected governor later in the year.
Kagure further says the Capital City requires a governor who has succeeded in business and with a clean track record like herself.

She has upped her campaigns for the seat and has been meeting leaders of various sectors in the county.
