The initiative, dubbed the “Dance Challenge Competition,” under the hashtag ‘TeamNickChallenge’ ran across social media platforms including Facebook and TikTok, targeting individuals and group performers within the county.

Mararo’s initiative reflects his growing engagement with the people of Nyeri, particularly the youth, whom he has consistently positioned at the center of his agenda.

Mararo has also started initiatives for empowering women in the county. He also encouraged women groups to join Access To Government Procurement Opportunities (AGPO) program where there are many opportunities to benefit them.

AGPO is a Kenyan affirmative action program designed to empower marginalized groups by legally reserving 30% of all Government tenders for enterprises owned by youth, women, and Persons Living With Disabilities.

Over recent months, he has been involved in grassroots outreach programs, community forums, and empowerment drives aimed at addressing unemployment and creating opportunities through innovation and talent development.

Political observers note that such initiatives not only spotlight emerging talent but also serve to connect leaders with constituents in more relatable and impactful ways, especially in an increasingly digital era.
